Trade Fair Stand

Vitra's "Dreams on the Way" trade fair stand is a testament to their commitment to sustainability and innovative design. The stand, designed by Neo Design Team & Design Studio VitrA, showcases the brand's dedication to reducing their impact on the environment while creating a visually stunning and functional space.

One of the standout features of the stand is the use of second-hand 20' ISO containers as real bathrooms. This not only adds a unique industrial-natural atmosphere to the space but also allows for mobility and versatility. The containers can be easily loaded onto trucks and transported to different locations, making them ideal for showcasing new products. Additionally, their reuse as display spaces helps reduce waste and promotes sustainability.

The walls and ceiling of the containers were constructed using a combination of metal and wood, allowing for easy customization for other exhibits. The general stand floor was made of a wooden construction and carpet tiles, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere. The stand shell was divided into two halves - one made of expanded metal sheets with a metal construction, and the other made of a wooden construction with painted chipboards. This contrast between the cold and hard feeling of industry and the warm and soft feeling of nature creates a visually striking aesthetic.

LED lights were used throughout the stand to reduce electricity consumption, further emphasizing Vitra's commitment to sustainability. The overall dimensions of the stand are 36x23x4.50m, providing ample space for visitors to explore and experience the brand's products.

The "Dreams on the Way" trade fair stand was designed and realized in Istanbul, with the project starting in October 2016 and finishing in February 2017. It was then showcased at Unicera in March 2017, where it garnered attention and accolades.

Design for good life is an important catchword for Vitra, and the "Dreams on the Way" stand exemplifies this philosophy. By repurposing second-hand containers into functional bathrooms and creating a sustainable and visually stunning space, Vitra showcases their commitment to creating a better world through design.

This Design was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2018 for its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach. It meets professional and industrial requirements, integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics. The "Dreams on the Way" stand provides fulfillment and positive feelings, contributing to a better world.
